Slovenia

Slovenia World Cup Squad

Slovenia are seen as one of poor relations in Group C Behind England and the USA but they should not be underestimated as they came through a tough qualification section and have some strong experienced players. The Slovenians came through a play-off against the well fancied Russians over two legs and will take that confidence into the World Cup and against England.

This will be the second World Cup for Slovenia having qualified for the first time since 2002 as an independent country, they were of course part of the now defunct Yugoslavia until the country broke up in the early 90's. Since then they have been steadily building a team capable of competing and they appear to have achieved that with a good qualifying campaign, they will be eager to try to qualify for the Round of 16 which will most likely require them to take something from England.

When the Slovenia World Cup Squad is announced the full lost will be available but in the meantime here are some of the key players that are likely to line-up against England in South Africa.
